Celebrating 35 years of excellence in finance

For over 35 years, Sandy Constanti has been a force in medical finance, breaking barriers, lifting others, and staying true to her values. Her journey is one of determination, resilience, and a commitment to putting people first.

Sandy didn’t just build a career - she built a legacy. A legacy of mentorship, leadership, and deep-rooted relationships that have shaped the industry. She has navigated an evolving finance landscape with unwavering passion, proving that success isn’t just measured in numbers but in the impact left on people’s lives.

Her recognition from the Australian Dental Industry Association (ADIA) of 20 year's service to the dental sector is a testament to the decades of trust and excellence she has delivered. But Sandy’s story is about more than just achievements - it’s about breaking barriers, defying expectations, and never losing sight of what truly matters.

Breaking barriers

In an industry that was traditionally male-dominated, Sandy carved out her place - not by demanding recognition, but by earning it through sheer hard work, determination, deep expertise, and the strong relationships she built along the way.

Her entry into the world of medical finance was no easy feat. The language of medical finance was, and continues to be, complex, filled with technical jargon and niche industry knowledge. But rather than seeing this as a barrier, Sandy saw it as an opportunity. She immersed herself in the profession, learning not just about the power of tailored finance, but about the dentists, doctors, and vets she was working with and what made them 'tick'. She sat through clinical courses, attended countless industry events, and became fluent in the world of her clients’ pain-points and growth ambitions.

Barry Lanesman, Chairman, Credabl recalls Sandy’s early days:

“I recall when Sandy started, never quiet and always full of energy, showing a passion for learning, growing, and developing. All Sandy needed was the tools and support to quickly develop a loyal client base, absolutely delivering for her clients. She lapped up learning so quickly and was soon one of the top-performing consultants.”

Sandy became more than a financier- she became a trusted advisor and a respected part of the medical community. Sandy now jokes, that if she could do it all over again, “I would be a dentist, I’m fascinated by them, their focus and of course the technology”.

Teresa Nguyen, finance specialist at Credabl and Sandy’s long-time colleague and friend, recalls her impact:

“Back when I entered the medical finance industry, Sandy was the only female in our NSW sales team at the time, and she was incredibly successful in her role. I admired her ambition and drive to always deliver the best results for her clients. That, in return, earned her one of the largest client networks nationally at both Experien and subsequently Investec. Seeing her succeed gave me the hope and drive to believe that one day, I could do the same.”

The power of mentorship and lifting others

Over the years, Sandy has become a mentor to many, including Teresa, shaping careers with the same care-first philosophy that she applied to her clients.

“I’ve learned from Sandy that prioritising our clients’ interests above all else always leads to success. She taught me that when we put clients first, everything else falls into place naturally. She takes the time to listen and understand their goals as a whole rather than focusing solely on a single transaction,” shares Teresa.

Resilience and reinvention

Over 35 years, Sandy has faced challenges, but she has never backed down. Whether it was navigating a competitive industry, adapting to changing market landscapes, or balancing her professional ambitions with her personal life, she always approached it with grace, optimism and an infectious sense of humour.

Stafford Hamilton, CEO of Credabl and long-time mentor to Sandy, sums it up perfectly:

“Sandy’s dedication to her clients and her team is unmatched. She has played a key role in shaping the culture at Credabl, ensuring that care and client focus are always at the heart of what we do. Her ability to form meaningful, long-term relationships is what makes her a respected leader in the industry.”

Sandy never let the industry define her. Instead, she helped redefine it - pushing boundaries, elevating client care, and proving that leadership is about empathy, knowledge, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.

More than a career – a life of impact

Beyond her achievements in finance, Sandy’s story is also one of friendship, family, and staying true to who you are. She is a wife, a mother, a grandmother, and a friend to so many. Her warmth and authenticity extend beyond the office, making her not just a powerhouse in finance, but a beloved figure in her community.

“All of my clients, they’re my friends and now my extended family. When I was unwell recently, the love and care I received from them was overwhelming - it was more than business, it was family,” shares Sandy.

A legacy that continues to prosper

Sandy’s impact on medical finance, her clients, and the people she’s mentored will continue to ripple long after her official milestones. She has set a standard for what true success and support looks like - not just in numbers, but in relationships, trust, and the ability to leave an industry better than you found it.

So, what’s next for Sandy? More of the same, we predict; mentoring, guiding, and continuing to be a source of inspiration to those who are lucky enough to cross her path. You'll be hard pressed to find a client that doesn't share, “I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for Sandy.” Her expertise has guided so many and will continue making her mark.

Her story is not just about career growth—it’s about resilience, friendship, the power of care, and making a difference. And most importantly, it’s about never forgetting who you are.
